EHFCN Sponsorship Programme
The European Healthcare Fraud and Corruption Network (EHFCN) is the only European organisation dedicated to combating fraud and corruption in the healthcare sector across Europe. Its aim is to improve European healthcare systems by reducing losses to fraud and corruption.
Annual healthcare spending across the European Union totals approximately one trillion Euros. It is estimated that between 30 and 100 billion Euros are lost every year to healthcare fraud and corruption. EHFCN's primary objective is to reduce these unacceptable losses in order to help bring back money to healthcare services for the benefit of every patient.
EHFCN provides information, tools, training and assistance in fighting fraud and corruption as well as a platform for its members to exchange information and ideas. The Network also aims to collaborate with European and international bodies who have an influence on healthcare in Europe, such as the European Union, Council of Europe, the World Health Organisation, etc.
EHFCN is a non-profit organisation financed through subscription fees. Its members are healthcare and counter fraud organisations in Europe.
EHFCN Corporate Sponsor
A Corporate Sponsor is any trust, foundation, company or industrial group that gives a financial contribution to support the fight against healthcare fraud and corruption, thereby playing a valuable role to reach EHFCN's aim.
Corporate Sponsors' activities are in line with the mission and ethos of EHFCN. They are admitted as such by the EHFCN Executive Committee and pay an annual sponsorship fee.
Corporate Sponsors may also contribute their time, expertise and resources if they engage on a joint project / activity with EHFCN.

- A sponsor must not influence the content or scheduling of a project / activity in such a way as to affect the independence and responsibility of EHFCN.

Corporate Sponsorship of activities and/or projects
In addition to Corporate Sponsorship, entities are allowed to sponsor specific activities and/or projects submitted by EHFCN to the Corporate Sponsor or by the Corporate Sponsors themselves to the EHFCN Executive Committee. These activities will be of course related to the fight against healthcare fraud and corruption.
- Sponsorship of activities and/or projects will only be open to entities who are already SiLVER or GOLD Corporate Sponsors, with priority given to GOLD Corporate Sponsors for similar projects received at the same time;
- Activities and projects are open to joint sponsorship, in agreement with the various sponsors.
- Corporate Sponsors may contribute their time, expertise and resources if they engage on a joint project / activity with EHFCN.
Activities and projects can be manifold; examples include:
- Joint partnership in undertaking fraud detection in a particular country,
- Joint partnership in undertaking a risk measurement exercise,
These activities will be conducted for the benefit of both EHFCN and the Corporate Sponsors. For the Corporate Sponsors, joint partnership may be the opportunity to better understand healthcare related fraud issues in a European context and to network with member organisations directly involved in these issues and interested to better detect and fight against fraud and corruption, such as Ministries of Health, sickness funds, etc.
For EHFCN, joint partnership with Corporate Sponsors may be the opportunity to get knowledge and understanding about new strategies or technologies that can help prevent, detect, measure or redress fraud and corruption in healthcare affairs, to share the knowledge and understanding with its members and to have access to experts in these domains
