Recommendation on Good Governance in Health Systems adopted on 31st March 2010
Recommendation CM/Rec (2010)6 of the Committee of Ministers on Good Governance in Health Systems was adopted by the Council of Europe Minister Deputies at their 1081st meeting. This recommendation has acknowledged and expressly thanked EHFCN for its contributions which are included the recommendation. This new instrument will aim to highlight the importance of good governance in health systems to the 47 member states of the Council of Europe. It will achieve this goal through basing this type of governance on the fundamental values of human rights, the rule of law and democracy as well as the principles of equity, participation, accountability and solidarity.
