First EHFCN Excellence Award to be conferred in Edinburgh
The EHFCN Excellence Award is granted to an organisation or individual who has proven excellence in the field of countering fraud and corruption in the healthcare sector.
The award aims to stimulate best practices in the field and to promote the work of EHFCN. Actions or initiatives retained by the Jury had to meet requirements such as the likelihood to significantly influence, or to have had a significant impact on, existing levels of fraud and/or corruption in healthcare in the respective country or region; the likelihood to attract interest and emulation in other parts of Europe; show particularly imaginative, innovative and effective aspects of the action and its deserving wide international recognition.
The winner shall be anounced shortly.
Update: The word is out! The winner of the first EHFCN Excellence Award is Ms Ewa Kopacz, Minister of Health, Poland. We congratulate her for her achievements. She will be presented with the award at the forthcoming annual conference in Edinburgh.
